Shandong Province completes outdated capacity elimination tasks for 2010

The government of China's Shandong Province has announced that the province has completed all outdated capacity elimination tasks for 2010, involving 70 enterprises in 13 industries. Of these enterprises, 42 have dismantled outdated capacities, while the other 28 companies have idled such capacities.

To date, Shandong Province has closed down a total of 169 enterprises with outdated capacities, entailing a reduction of 6.3 million mt per year in coal consumption.
