Vorkutaugol, a coking coal producing subsidiary of Russian steel producer Severstal, has announced that by 2016 it will increase its annual coal output by about 20 percent compared to the level of 2011 to 14.5 million mt, following the gradual implementation of its technical and technological upgrade project within the scope of its strategic business plan.
In addition, Vorkutaugol also plans to increase the volume and quality of coal processing. By 2016, the company intends to produce about 9.3 million mt of marketable coal products, including more than 6.2 million mt of concentrate.
