Severstal to build new coating shop at Cherepovets site

Russian steelmaker Severstal has announced that it has launched a project for the construction of a new coating shop at its Cherepovets site. The total investments in the project will exceed RUB 6 billion ($0.139 billion).

The coating shop will comprise a hot dip galvanizing (HDG) line with an annual production capacity of 400,000 mt and a color coating line capable of producing 200,000 mt per year. A share of the production of the new HDG line will be used as feed for the new color coating line.
