The Russian steel producer Severstal has announced the beginning of scheduled reconstruction work on the Dwight-Lloyd machine No.10 at its Cherepovets subsidiary

Commenting on the issue, Severstal's director of production Mr. Alexander Pogozhev said that the revamp of the Dwight-Lloyd machine No. 10 would allow the plant to increase its annual sinter production capacity by more than 1.5 percent or 70,000 metric tons.

The reconstruction of the Dwight-Lloyd machine No.10 will cost approximately Ruble 70 million ($2.81 million) and will involve the replacement of several parts of the machine.

The necessary equipment for the machine's overhaul will be supplied by Russian-based SSM-Tyazhprom.
