Mexican integrated steelmaker Altos Hornos de Mexico (AHMSA) said late Friday it is still searching for a missing worker following an incident at its No. VII coal mine.
According to the company, falling material trapped one worker underground, resulting in his death, and the search for a second worker continues. AHMSA told SteelOrbis in a statement Monday that operations at the mine will remain suspended until the search for the missing employee is completed.
The incident was reported at 1:25 pm on Thursday, local time.
