Saudi Arabia’s SABIC increases crude steel output by 19.5 percent in H1

In the first half of this year, the crude steel output of Saudi Arabia-based flat and long steel producer Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) increased by 19.5 percent year on year, amounting to 2.6 million metric tons, Arab Steel has reported.
 
In the given period, SABIC increased its billet output by 81.1 percent, while its slab production rose 22.2 percent, both compared to the corresponding period of 2009.
