Sathavahana Ispat commences metcoke project

Indian firm Sathavahana Ispat Ltd broke ground on its metallurgical coke and power plant project in Karnataka, according to a statement released by the company. Following the completion of the project, the company will produce 300'000 tons of metallurgical coke per annum. The project also includes construction of a 30 MW power plant. The cost of the project is stated to be around Rupees 1.737 billion ($39.7 million).
