Swedish high-technology engineering and steelmaking group Sandvik has announced that it will maintain its operations and deliveries at its Turku plant in Finland. The company stated that the decision was taken after further investigation of the competitive landscape and the current market situation.

The company also pointed out that it wants to ensure a long-term commitment towards its customers, maintaining a strong market position in key areas for Sandvik.

In June this year, Sandvik had decided to close its site in Turku and optimize its site in Tampere, also in Finland, in line with its previously announced supply chain optimization program.
