SAIL to build steel melting shop at Salem Steel Plant

The Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) announced plans to build a steel melting shop at its unit Salem Steel Plant, located in Tamil Nadu, India. The company will submit its proposal regarding the project to the related financial institutions and SAIL Board will take a final decision, accordingly. Regarding the project, Mr. Ram Vilas Paswan, India's Steel Minister, indicated that the interests of Salem Steel Plant and the people of Tamil Nadu would be given top priority while finalizing the expansion plans.
