SAIL increases plate production

Indian steel producer Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) reportedly plans to increase plate production this year as its market share in plate production has reached 60%. The increase in plate production is planned to be 240'000 tons. Bhilai, Bokaro and Rourkela, SAIL's three integrated plants produced 1.78 million tons of plate in the previous fiscal.
