On March 10, Finland-based steelmaker Ruukki announced that it will deliver steel structures worth around €4 million for phase two of the Willa shopping center in Hyvinkää, Finland, which will open in autumn 2012.

Ruukki will design, manufacture and install the steel structures, including fire protection, for the shopping centre which will cover an area of 26,000 meters. Most of the steel frame will be manufactured at Ruukki's works in Peräseinäjoki, Finland. Installation of the steel frame will start in March.

Accordingly, the truss floor beams in the frame solution chosen for the Willa shopping centre give the center a spacious roof structure. The truss structure will also allow flexibility in the installation of building technology.
