Russia’s Ashinskiy commissions ultrasonic testing unit

Russian steel producer Ashinskiy Metallurgical Works has announced that in late January this year it commissioned a new ultrasonic testing unit with a processing capacity of 5,000 mt of rolled steel plates per month.
 
Accordingly, the products which pass ultrasound tests have a 100 percent quality guarantee for the absence of internal defects in the metal. The ultrasonic testing of the homogeneity of steel products will allow Ashinskiy to increase its sales of rolled steel plates.
