Russian steel producers agree to cut prices for carmakers

The Russian domestic steel producers have reduced their prices for carmakers by five percent and could make an even larger reduction, the Russian Deputy Prime Minister Igor Sechin has stated.

The price cut for the domestic car manufacturers has come in response to a decrease in raw material prices for the steelmakers.

Forecasting a further cut in Russian steel prices for domestic consumers, Mr. Sechin said that the decrease could be as much as 15 percent.
