Russia to commission new 70,000 mt pipe plant by end of 2009

By the end of 2009, a new steel pipe producing plant with an annual capacity of 70,000 mt is planned to be commissioned in the Krasnosulinskiy district in Russia's Rostov region by Isaevsk Machine-Building Plant, which is based in the same region.

The new steel pipe producing plant, which worth Ruble 423 million (about $14.9 million), is built on the grounds of a former rebar producing plant which was acquired by Isaevsk Machine-Building Plant. Currently, the installation of all necessary equipment has been completed, and the startup and adjustment works are being carried out.

The pipe plant's products will be used in construction, housing and utilities, and will be supplied to the Russian domestic market as well as to CIS countries.
