Russia postpones decision on VAT reduction till next year

The Russian government has decided to postpone consideration of a proposal on VAT reduction until next year, the Russian Minister of Finance Alexei Kudrin announced on September 18.

As SteelOrbis previously reported, the Russian Ministry of Economic Development and Trade had proposed to reduce the amount of value added tax (VAT) to 12 percent from the current 18 percent.
