According to the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat), in the January-November period of the current year Russia registered a 4.8 percent rise in its rolled steel product output to 56.9 million mt, a four percent increase in its crude steel output to 64.7 million mt and a 5.8 percent rise in its pig iron production to 46.3 million mt, all year on year. In the given period, Russia saw a 5.2 percent decrease year on year in its steel pipe production to 8.8 million mt.
In addition, in January-November Russia produced 322 million mt of coal, up 6.3 percent compared to the same period last year.
