Russia issues Jan-Nov output results

According to the data released by the Russian Federation's Federal State Statistics Service, in the first eleven months of 2009 Russia produced 53.7 million metric tons of crude steel - down 17.6 percent, 46.2 million metric tons of finished steel products - down 13.7 percent, 5.9 million metric tons of steel pipes - down 19.5  percent, all compared to January-November 2008.

In addition, during the same period the country registered a 10.8 percent decrease in coal mining output and a 12.1 percent reduction in iron ore mining output year on year. The respective figures in metric tons were 268 million and 83.7 million.
