In January this year, real estate sales in Turkey amounted to 80,308 units, down by 42.0 percent month on month and by 17.8 percent year on year, according to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
Sales were focused mostly on Istanbul, with 13,423 real estate units sold and a 16.7 percent share in total sales.
