Rautaruukki purchases Dikema Stäl from Arcelor

Market sources report that Finnish steel producer Rautaruukki's Metal Products Division has expanded its presence in Norway through acquisition of Dikema Stäl AS, an Arcelor Group company. Dikema Stäl AS is involved in service center and metal products producing businesses, with forty employees. The sales of the company were €27 million ($33.2 million) in 2002. With the take over, Dikema Stäl AS's service center operations will be integrated with Rautaruukki's Metal Products Division in Oslo, Norway. Previously, Rautaruukki acquired Johan Vinje Stäl AS, which is operating as a metal service center. With these two takeovers, sales of Rautaruukki's Metal Products Division are expected to increase.
