Raspadskaya commissions coking coal longwall

Raspadskaya Coal Company (Raspadskaya), one of the largest coking coal producers in Russia, has announced commissioning of its longwall 4-9-25 with commercial coking coal reserves amounting to 2.8 million mt.

The panel of coal in the longwall is 262 meters long and the extraction column is 3,274 meters long. Production in the longwall is now concentrated in production unit 1. Coal is extracted using a Bucyrus heading machine coupled with a 4LS20 shearer and is transferred to the Raspadskaya processing plant using belt conveyors.
