Raspadskaya Coal Co. posts net loss for H1

Raspadskaya Coal Company (Raspadskaya), one of the largest coking coal producers in Russia, has announced its financial results for the first half of 2012.

Accordingly, Raspadskaya's net loss amounted to RUB 738.18 million ($23.16 million) in the first half of 2012, whereas it had recorded a net profit in the same period last year. In the first half of 2012, the company's sales revenues increased by 29.8 percent year on year to RUB 2.123 billion ($66.6 million).

In the first half of the year, the company's coal output amounted to 3.434 million mt, down one percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
