UK-based plantmaker Primetals Technologies has announced that it has acquired torch-cutting technology assets from Spain-based TCT Torch-Cutting Technology Company.

The given assets will allow Primetals to fully integrate torch-cutting technologies not only into the continuous casting segment but also into the wider range of automation solutions for casting and its comprehensive scope of metallurgical services, and to expand its portfolio, which will be particularly useful for new, demanding projects.

In addition, the company has signed a long-term service contract with TCT personnel.
