Preliminary results of AD review on silicomanganese from Brazil

On January 31, 2005, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) initiated an antidumping administrative review on silicomanganese imported from Brazil. The review covered Rio Doce Manganês S.A. (RDM), Companhia Paulista de Ferro-Ligas (CPFL), and Urucum Mineração S.A. (Urucum) (collectively RDM/CPFL) during the period December 1, 2003, through November 30, 2004. The Department preliminarily determined that during the period of review, RDM/CPFL did not make sales of the subject merchandise to the US at prices below normal value during the period of review. Accordingly, a margin of 0.00 percent exists for RDM/CPFL for the period December 1, 2003, through November 30, 2004. The current dumping duty deposit rate for these companies is also 0.00 percent. Interested parties are required to comment on the preliminary results.
