The Port of Houston Authority (PHA) was granted clearance to re-open its facilities late Wednesday evening and resumed normal operations for all terminals, including Barbours Cut and Bayport Container Terminals, Friday, September 19.

The Barbours Cut and Bayport Container Terminals resumed normal business operations Friday, September 19 at 7 a.m., while the rest of the PHA terminals resumed normal business Thursday. Both container terminals resumed operating under normal gate hours and will be handling both imports and exports.

The Port had been closed earlier last week due to a power outage resulting from Hurricane Ike. Power was not restored to the Barbours Cut and Bayport Terminals until late Thursday.
