Polish company JSW aims to create coal holding group

According to recent news in the market, Polish coal company Jastrzebska Spolka Weglowa (JSW) plans to establish a holding group, which the Polish State Treasury is currently reviewing. JSW is planning to take over coking plants from Walbrzych and Zabrze, thereby boosting its value by Zloty 300 million ($85.5 million). JSW's President Leszek Jarno stated that it is necessary for the firm to link a coking coal producer with a coke producer. In addition the firm is planning to increase its share in the Przyjazn coking plant. If all the plans were realized, the new entity would produce as much coke as all the plants belonging to Ispat Polska Stal.
