Polish steelmaker Huta Częstochowa, a subsidiary of Poland-based coking coal exporter Węglokoks, has surpassed 500,000 mt of steel production since restarting operations, marking a significant milestone for the steelworks, according to media reports. The company has steadily increased production volumes following the resumption of operations. It is stated that production growth has been supported by the stable operation of its steel shop and plate mill.

The facility has now produced more than half a million mt of steel, reflecting improving operational stability and stronger utilization rates.

Management indicated that maintaining continuous production and rebuilding customer confidence remain key priorities.

Previously, the company announced that it aims to reach 500,000 mt of production in 2026, as SteelOrbis previously reported.

Focus on rebuilding market position

The steelmaker is continuing efforts to strengthen its market presence after a period of operational and financial difficulties in previous years.

Management emphasized that rebuilding long-term commercial relationships and expanding order volumes remain important objectives for the plant.

The recovery of production at the plant is viewed as important for both the domestic steel sector and the broader regional economy.
