Iron ore production at Peru’s only producer, Shougang Hierro Peru, was up by 6.5 percent year on year in January this year, according to data issued by the country’s mines and energy ministry.
Shougang produced 741,373 mt of the commodity in January, up from 696,399 mt in the same month of 2016.
