Peruvian iron ore output down 0.5 percent in H1

Iron ore production at Peru’s only producer, Shougang Hierro Peru, was down by 1.3 percent year on year in June this year, according to data issued by the country’s mines and energy ministry.
 
Shougang produced 721,889 mt of the commodity in June, down from 731,410 mt in the same month of 2015.
 
In the first half of this year, Peruvian iron ore output totaled 4.18 million mt, decreasing by 0.5 percent year on year.
