Iron ore production at Peru’s only producer, Shougang Hierro Peru, was up by 11.6 percent year on year in June this year, according to data issued by the country’s mines and energy ministry.
Shougang produced 805,556 mt of the commodity in June, up from 721,889 mt in the same month of 2016.
In the first half of this year, Peruvian iron ore output totaled 4.58 million mt, increasing by 9.5 percent year on year.
