Peru’s iron ore output up 10.5 percent in January-October

Iron ore production in Peru was down by 53.2 percent year on year in October this year, according to data issued by the country’s mines and energy ministry.

Peru produced 276,267 mt of the commodity in October, down from 590,512 mt in the same month of 2016.

In the first ten months of this year, Peruvian iron ore output totaled 7.05 million mt, increasing by 10.5 percent year on year.
