Peru expects mining investments to reach over $560 million by 2021

Peru expects mining investments in the country to reach over $560 million by 2021, according to estimates from the ministry of mines and energy (Minem).

Minem’s minister, Francisco Ismodes, said the forecasted investments would cover 60 projects. Ismodes said investors filed 24 new requests thus far in the year asking approval for new projects.

According to a World Exploration Trends 2018 reports, Peru ranks as the top 5 country to invest in mining.
