Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports down 21.3% in June from May

Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports amounted to 351,458 mt in June this year, decreasing by 21.3 percent compared to May and down 13.8 percent year on year, according to the data released by the Pakistan Federal Bureau of Statistics (PFBS). The value of these imports in June was $127.08 million, decreasing by 15.8 percent month on month and up 15.2 year on year.

Meanwhile, Pakistan's iron and steel imports in June amounted to 301,143 mt, up 10 percent on year-on-year basis and increasing by 2.6 percent compared to the previous month. In June this year, the value of Pakistan's iron and steel imports was $190.11 million, increasing by 7.3 percent year on year and down 0.3 percent month on month.
