Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports up 0.6% in April from March

Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports amounted to 405,300 mt in April this year, increasing by 0.6 percent compared to March and down 6.8 percent year on year, according to the data released by the Pakistan Federal Bureau of Statistics (PFBS). The value of these imports in April was $140.45 million, increasing by 8.5 percent month on month and up 21.7 year on year.

Meanwhile, Pakistan's iron and steel imports in April amounted to 337,785 mt, up 15.7 percent on year-on-year basis and falling by 19.7 percent compared to the previous month. In April this year, the value of Pakistan's iron and steel imports was $216.56 million, increasing by 9.9 percent year on year and down 23 percent month on month.
