Pakistan’s National Tariff Commission has announced its preliminary decision in the antidumping (AD) duty investigation against color-coated steel coils and sheets from China and South Africa, stating that during the investigation period (January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2016), there was a significant increase in the volume of dumped imports of the investigated product and significant price undercutting of domestic products in the domestic market. As a result, the domestic industry suffered material injury on account of decline in market share and negative effect on growth.

The commission has calculated preliminary dumping margins (as a percentage of the CFR price) between 2.36 percent and 37.53 percent for imports from China and South Africa; however, it has decided not to impose provisional measures until final decisions.

The products in question currently fall under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7210.7010, 7210.7020, 7210.7090, 7212.4010 and 7212.4090.
