Russia-based pipe producer United Metallurgical Company (OMK) has announced the extension of its contract for the supply of Novolipetsk slabs for the production of large diameter pipes at its Vyksa Steel Works with Russian steelmaker NLMK up to and including 2019.

Under the contract, NLMK will continue to supply continuously cast steel slabs featuring superior chemical composition and steel structure standards, which are rolled into plates for the production of large diameter pipes at Vyksa Steel Works, part of OMK Group.

The initial contract between NLMK and OMK was signed in August 2012, and in November 2013 the companies signed an agreement for long-term cooperation in the 2014-17 period.
