OECD annual inflation rate up to 2.3 percent in March

The annual inflation rate of the 34 Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) member countries increased to 2.3 percent in March this year, compared to 2.2 percent in the previous month, according to the latest figures.

Excluding food and energy, annual inflation increased slightly to two percent in March, compared with 1.9 percent in February.

Compared with February, annual inflation in March decreased to 1.1 percent in Japan from 1.5 percent and fell to 2.5 percent in the UK from 2.7 percent. In March as compared with February, annual inflation grew to 2.4 percent in the US from 2.2 percent, rose to 2.3 percent in Canada from 2.2 percent, increased to 1.6 percent in France from 1.2 percent, moved up to 1.6 percent in Germany from 1.4 percent and increased to 0.8 percent in Italy from 0.5 percent.
