NWR’s coking coal prices increase for Q2

Central Europe-based miner New World Resources Plc (NWR) has announced that it has reached agreements with its customers for coking coal and coke sales for the second quarter of 2013.

Accordingly, NWR has set the average agreed price of coking coal for delivery in the second quarter of this year at €104/mt, up three percent compared to the first quarter realized price. In addition, NWR's average price agreed for coke sales during the second quarter is €246/mt, remaining stable compared to the first quarter realized price.

NWR also announced its production and sales results for the first quarter of 2013. While it produced 2.14 million mt of coking and thermal coal and 168,000 mt of coke in the first quarter, its sales volumes of coking coal and coke in the quarter were 1 million mt and 149,000 mt respectively.
