NWR’s coking coal and coke prices decrease for Q2

Central Europe-based miner New World Resources Plc (NWR) has announced that it has reached agreements with its customers for coking coal and coke sales for the second quarter of 2012.

Accordingly, NWR has set the average agreed price of coking coal for delivery in the second quarter of this year at €130/mt, down eight percent compared to the first quarter realized price. In addition, NWR's average price agreed for coke sales during the second quarter is €298/mt, decreasing by four percent compared to the first quarter realized price.

NWR also announced its production and sales results for the first quarter of 2011. While it produced 2.38 million mt of coking and thermal coal and 175,000 mt of coke in the first quarter, its sales volumes of coking coal and coke in the quarter were 1.29 million mt and 155,000 mt respectively.
