NWR lowers coking coal prices for Q2

Central Europe-based miner New World Resources Plc (NWR) has announced that it has reached agreements with its customers for coking coal sales for the second quarter of the current year.
 
Accordingly, NWR has set the average agreed price of coking coal for delivery in the second quarter of this year at €85/mt, down six percent compared to the first quarter realized price.
 
NWR also announced its production and sales results for the first quarter. In the given period, the company produced 2.22 million mt of coking and thermal coal, while its coking coal sales reached 1.24 million mt.
 
The company targets 9-9.5 million mt of coal production and sales for 2014, with 55-60 percent of coking coal and 45-40 percent of thermal coal in the sales mix.
