Charlotte, North Carolina-based Nucor Corporation loaded 15,000 metric tons (mt) of billet onto a breakbulk ship Monday at the Port of Seattle, Washington's Terminal 105, destined for a rebar mill in Vietnam.

Monday's shipment was Nucor's first use of its Terminal 105 at the Port of Seattle. According to local news agencies, while Nucor Seattle Steel is actively involved in exports, they are usually container shipments, as opposed to Monday's bulk shipment.
