NLMK’s VIZ-Stal sees 52.2 percent rise in transformer steel sales in 2010

The Russian steelmaker Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK) has announced that in 2010 its Ekaterinburg-based subsidiary VIZ-Stal increased its transformer steel sales volumes by 52.2 percent year on year to 153,000 mt, mainly due to the stabilization of demand for transformer steel in the export markets.
 
In Q4 2010, VIZ-Stal's transformer steel sales went up by 13.6 percent quarter on quarter and by 15.8 percent year on year to 44,000 mt.
