NLMK’s Q3 crude steel output up 3% from Q2 level

Russian steelmaker Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK) has announced its production and sales data for the third quarter of the current year. According to the company statement, NLMK's crude steel output in the third quarter increased to 3.897 million mt, up three percent compared to the previous quarter, while its production of finished steel increased by 1.6 percent quarter on quarter to 2.806 million mt.

The total sales volume of steel products of NLMK Group in the third quarter amounted to 3.719 million mt, down 1.4 percent quarter on quarter, including around 2.360 million mt of flat steel, 535,000 mt of long steel products and metalware, 1.411 million mt of high value-added products, and including 780,000 mt of slabs.

NLMK also stated that it plans to increase its steel output in the fourth quarter by six percent compared to the third quarter this year, to around 4.1 million mt. Finished product sales are expected to total approximately 3.9 million mt, up five percent q-o-q.
