The Russian steelmaker Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK) has placed an order with German SMS Demag for further modernization of its hot strip mill.

The modernization is being conducted with the aim of improving the mill's dimensional accuracy in thickness, profile and flatness.

Since all modernization works will be carried out during the mill's scheduled maintenance shutdowns, there will be no interruptions of the mill's production.
