NLMK modernizes coke production

The Russian steel producer Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK) has restarted its 460,000 metric tons a year coke battery No. 2 after the completion of major renovation work. The modernization of NLMK's coke production facilities was aimed at improving their reliability, decreasing environmental impact and improving the quality of production. NLMK invested a total of $50.5 million in the modernization of coke battery No. 2.
