Luxembourg-based plantmaker Paul Wurth has announced that it has received the final acceptance certificate from the Russian steelmaker NLMK for the blast furnace No.7 at its Lipetsk works, after successful commissioning, ramp-up and the furnace passing all contractual performance tests.

As SteelOrbis previously reported, in late July this year NLMK commissioned the blast furnace No. 7 which has an annual output capacity of 3.4 million mt. The total value of the project exceeded RUB 43 billion ($1.3 billion). NLMK's annual steel output at its Lipetsk site is expected to increase by 36 percent to 12.4 million mt, with the commissioning of the new blast furnace and of a new basic oxygen furnace (BOF)
