New steel plant to be built in Iranian province of Kerman

The Iranian Ministry of Industries and Mines has given the go-ahead for the construction of a new steel plant in the southern Iranian province of Kerman, which will have a designed annual production capacity of 1.5 million mt.
 
The plant will be built on the back of an investment by Middle East Mineral Industries and Mines Development Holding Co. (MIDHCO). This company was established in 2007 with the support of Bank Pasgarad. Iranian Industrial Development & Renovation Construction Company (MANA) is among MIDHCO's subsidiaries.
