ZISCO’s coke plant to come on stream by end of Iranian year

The new coke production plant of Iranian steelmaker Zarand Iranian Steel Co. (ZISCO) is expected to come on stream by the end of the current Iranian year (ends March 20, 2012), according to ZISCO officials.

Construction of the plant, which is being built with an estimated investment of €92 million, is already around 38 percent complete. The coke production plant will have an annual capacity of 800,000 mt. It is located on a 406-hectare site and about 600 personnel will be employed at the plant when it is put into operation.
