NBS: China's crude steel output up 2.3 percent in January-September

In September this year, China's crude steel output amounted to 67.54 million mt, remaining stable year on year, with this growth rate one percentage point lower than that recorded in August. During the given month, the average daily crude steel output in China came to 2.2513 million mt, up 1.28 percent month on month.

In the January-September period of the current year, crude steel output in China amounted to 618.00 million mt, up 2.3 percent year on year, with this growth rate 0.3 percentage points lower than that recorded in the January-August period.

In September, China's pig iron output amounted to 58.89 million mt, down 0.5 percent year on year, while the pig iron output amounted to 542.37 million mt in the January-September period, up 0.4 percent year on year.

In September, China's finished steel output totaled 95.75 million mt, up 1.7 percent year on year, while the finished steel output amounted to 838.53 million mt in the January-September period, up 5.0 percent year on year.
