NBS: China's crude steel output up 2.1 percent in January-October

In October this year, China's crude steel output amounted to 67.52 million mt, down 0.3 percent year on year, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on November 13. During the given month, the average daily crude steel output in China came to 2.1781 million mt, down 3.25 percent month on month.

In the January-October period of the current year, crude steel output in China amounted to 685.35 million mt, up 2.1 percent year on year, with this growth rate 0.2 percentage points lower than that recorded in the January-September period.

In October, China's pig iron output amounted to 57.01 million mt, down 3.1 percent year on year, while the pig iron output amounted to 599.52 million mt in the January-October period, up 0.1 percent year on year.

In October, China's finished steel output totaled 95.25 million mt, up 2.0 percent year on year, while the finished steel output in the January-October period amounted to 934.47 million mt, up 4.7 percent year on year.
