Moldavian Metallurgical Plant (MMZ) has announced that starting from May this year it plans full utilization of its capacities for the production of rebar and wire

Accordingly, the main factor allowing MMZ to resume operations at full capacity is the achievement of the stable financial situation of the enterprise.

Since early 2010, MMZ has managed to ensure stable utilities and raw materials supplies, as well as timely shipments of steel products to local and export markets, which guarantee the continuous operation of the plant in conditions of global economic downturn, and also allows it to return to pre-crisis output levels.

In April this year MMZ resumed shipments of merchant square billets, due to growing prices and thus higher profitability of export sales. The shipment of this product was stopped in the previous year.
